PokerBet Overview
Introduction
PokerBet is a Texas Holdem Poker themed game where the object is to predict the
winning seat at each stage of a Poker hand.
The game takes place over 4 betting rounds with each seat showing decimal payout
odds dependent on the chance it has of winning the hand after the final card is
dealt. These odds change at the start of each round to reflect the impact of new
cards that have been dealt or revealed since the last round.

Navigating The PokerBet Lobby
On entering the game, the PokerBet Lobby is displayed which acts as a hub for all
the tables in the game. This is similar to the Poker lobby and displays a list of
Real and Play money tables available to play.
To begin play, select one of the black Real Money tables from the list by double
clicking it, or highlight it and click the "JOIN TABLE" button. If you are not already
logged in, you will be prompted to do so and must enter valid login details to continue.
Alternatively, you can join one of the blue Play Money tables in the same way which
will load the table with a Play balance of 1000 chips. All bets on a Play Money
table will not affect your Real account balance and will not be recorded in your
Bet History. It is not required for you to be logged in to join a Play Money table.
Alongside each table in the list, a "Seats" value and a "Time" value are displayed
which vary between tables. The "Seats" value indicates the number of participating
seats there are around the table, and the "Time" value indicates the time period
allowed for betting between each set of new cards.
If you find that you have too much or too little time to place bets on a table or
require a different number of participants, then you can return to the lobby and
select an alternative table.

Bringing Chips To The Game
When entering a Real Money table in PokerBet, you will be presented with the "Sit
Down at Table" window. This allows you to transfer some chips from your account
to your balance for the table in the same way as you do on a Poker table.
To transfer some chips, enter the required amount making sure it is above the stated
minimum and less than your current available credits, and click the "OK" button.
If you need to add to your available credits, click the "Bank" button to be taken
to the Poker banking area.
You can access this window at any time to add further chips to your table balance
by clicking on the chip tray at the top of the table.

Returning Chips To Your Poker Account
On leaving a PokerBet table or closing the game window, your current table balance
should automatically be returned to your Poker account. This amount should then
be available in Poker banking or to place on other tables.
If for some reason your table balance does not immediately transfer back to your
Poker account on leaving a table, you can return to the table on which it was placed
and collect it by again leaving the table. Alternatively, all table balances which
are not returned to your account before you leave the game will be returned within
15 minutes of doing so.

Placing Bets
Placing bets on Pokerbet involves the casino-style placing of chips in the bet area
of your chosen seat. First select a chip size from the Chip Selector in the bottom
right hand corner of the screen, and then click on the "BET HERE" area of your chosen
seat to begin adding chips. You can change the chip size at any time using the selector
and remove all unconfirmed chips by clicking the "CLEAR BETS" button. You may place
chips on as many of the seats as you wish.
Once you are happy with the chips you"ve placed for your bet, they must be confirmed
before the bet is registered and the amount taken from your balance. Click the "CONFIRM
BETS" button to do this, at which point your chips will be moved to the confirmed
bets areas next to each seat and the total amount will be deducted from your table
balance. You can confirm chips more than once during a round, and these will be
added to the current confirmed stack when the button is clicked.
The "Stake" and "Return" values on the seat reflect the total of all stakes placed
so far and the potential returns available if your seat wins the hand outright (there
may be more than one winning seat, and this eventuality is detailed in the "Split
Win" section on this page). These values will be added to whenever a bet is made.
Every betting round lasts for a set amount of time determined by the choice of table
in the lobby, so you must make sure all bets for the round are confirmed before
the timer runs out. The "CONFIRM BETS" button will flash and a warning will be given
when the round is close to ending. Should you have unconfirmed chips on the table
when the round timer runs out, they will be removed from the table and will not
be registered.

Betting Rounds
The 4 betting rounds that take place reflect the betting rounds that usually take
place during a game of Texas Holdem Poker:
Betting round 1 - Deal
At the start of the game, 2 hole cards are dealt face-down to each of the seats
at the table. Each seat has an equal chance of winning at this stage, and this is
reflected in the odds.
Betting round 2 - Hole Cards
The hole cards of all Seats are revealed at the start of the round, and the odds
are changed to reflect the chance each seat had of winning the hand.
Betting round 3 - Flop
The 3 flop cards are dealt into the centre of the table at the start of this round,
and the odds on each seat are changed to reflect the impact the flop cards have
had on the chance it winning.
Betting round 4 - Turn
The turn card is dealt alongside the flop cards at the start of this round, and
the odds on each seat are changed to reflect the impact the flop cards have had
on the chance of it winning.
Settlement - River
The river card is dealt at this stage to reveal the final result of the hand. The
return value displayed on the winning seat is added to your balance (unless there
is more than one winning seat - see the Split Win section below for details).

Split Win
On occasion, there may be more than one seat that holds the same winning poker hand.
This is equivalent to a shared pot in Texas Holdem Poker, and is handled differently
to a standard win. In the event of a split win, the return on each winning seat
will be divided by the total number of winning seats before being added to your
balance. This is clearly indicated on the table and in the message window.

In-Game Menu
An in-game menu is available from the PokerBet lobby or any table and can be accessed
by clicking on the "MENU" button. The menu contains several helpful links for the
game including sound options, Bet History and Banking. Some links will not be available
if you are not logged in, but you will be advised if this is the case on trying
to open them.
Your Bet History provides details of all bets you have placed listed in reverse
chronological order. To view less recent bets which do not appear on the initial
page, select a higher page number from the list at the bottom of the Bet History.
Clicking on the Game ID of any bet in the list displays full details of the hand
on which it was placed.

Message Window
The message window at the bottom of the screen displays regular information on gameplay,
such as round information, round end reminders and details of winning seats.
